WEST HOUSTON/KATY AREA NON-PROFIT WILL SEE SOME “GREEN” AS KATY’S FIRST DUNKIN’ DONUTS CELEBRATES ST. PATRICK’S DAY WITH GRAND OPENING MARCH 18
HOUSTON, TX (March 5, 2014) – West Houston and Katy area fans of Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, may feel extra lucky right after St. Patrick’s Day. In connection with the March 18 Grand Opening of the new Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combo restaurant located at 3051 N. Fry Road, Katy, TX 77449, selected local high schools and non-profits will have the chance to compete in a “Dunkin’ Cups for Charity” cup stacking competition at the Grand Opening event. Participants include Morton Ranch High School’s Principal Lee Crews, Mayde Creek High School’s Principal Dr. Cazilda Steele, Taylor High School’s Principal Jeff Stocks, Raines High School’s Asst. Principal Richard Merriman, and Cinco Charities’ Executive Director Ginger Hopper. The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 donation for their organization!
According to Katy Dunkin’ franchisee Cosmo Parisi, “The Parisi family has a long history with the Katy community, and we are proud to bring the first Dunkin’ Donuts to the area. Of course, Katy ISD is one of the crown jewels of this community, so we are delighted to offer a fun way for some of our nearby high schools as well as Cinco Charities to be a part of our Grand Opening and earn the chance to receive our celebratory charitable contribution.”
The new restaurant will be open from 5:00 am – 11:00 pm, 7 days a week and will employ approximately 30 crew members, serving up both Dunkin’ Donuts menu items, as well as Baskin-Robbins much loved cool treats. The restaurant will have comfortable seating and will provide a welcoming environment for guests to enjoy Dunkin’ Donuts’ food and beverages in a friendly and fun atmosphere. It will offer a complete menu of Dunkin’ Donuts’ internationally recognized coffee, lattes, donuts and bakery goods. As a nod to the Katy community, this location will offer Free Medium Coffee – hot or cold – upon request to customers from 3/11 through 3/18.

The brand has introduced a full lineup of seasonal beverages and snacks to help celebrate the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Perfect for the top o’ the morning or any time throughout the day, Dunkin’ Donuts’ March menu includes Irish Crème and Mocha Irish Crème coffees and lattes, Mint Hot Chocolate and two new donuts, Cool Mint OREO® and Mint OREO® Creme. All items are available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the greater Houston area.
Dunkin’ Donuts’ new Mocha Irish Crème Coffee features the smooth, velvety taste of Irish crème blended with a rich chocolate flavor in Dunkin’ Donuts famous coffee. Irish Crème and Mocha Irish Crème Coffees and Lattes are available hot and iced. The new Mint Oreo® Donut, features a yeast ring frosted with pastel green icing and crumbled mint OREO® cookies, and the new Mint OREO® Creme Donut, features a vanilla flavored buttercream filled yeast shell frosted with pastel green icing and crumbled mint OREO®. March 3 through March 9, sales of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich will help make a difference in the fight to solve hunger across America. Dunkin’ Donuts and America’s Egg Farmers have partnered to donate one egg to Feeding America® for every Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich sold (up to 750,000.) The eggs will be delivered to select local Feeding America member food banks throughout the country this spring.
